Off To Nursery With Bing!

At Matalan, we’ve been working in partnership with the NSPCC for 20 years. And to celebrate this milestone anniversary we’re teaming up with Bing from the hit TV series, to offer a limited edition t-shirt just in time for Childhood Day on Friday 7th June.

Bing is a CBeebies fan-favourite, portraying the joyful and sometimes messy reality of pre-school life. And with 100% of the profits going straight to the NSPCC, this exclusive tee is sure to be a hit with the little ones!

Half a million children a year suffer abuse in the UK. That means 7 children in a classroom experience abuse before they turn 18. For over 130 years, the NSPCC have been working to prevent child abuse, and we know the only way we can keep all children safe is if we work together. That’s why we created Childhood Day – a day that brings everyone in UK together to protect children. Whether you fundraise, donate, volunteer or take action, all we ask is that you play your part to help keep children safe.

You can make a difference

The NSPCC needs your support to make sure they can remain there for children at risk of abuse. You don’t need to take part in a challenge to make a donation. Every penny helps.

“As a family we are extremely proud to support the NSPCC and to have established the Hargreaves Centre, a safe place for vulnerable children and young people on Merseyside. Our relationship with this incredible charity dates back to 2004 when my dad John, the founder of Matalan started fundraising events on behalf of the NSPCC. We continue to raise as much money as possible for the charity, which can include a variety of head office or store fundraisers, mountain climbs or sales of NSPCC products. Together we’ve raised millions with the NSPCC and are proud to say that Matalan is established as their longest standing retail partner”.

Jason Hargreaves, Matalan CEO

“Matalan has been by our side for an entire childhood, ever since we first partnered eighteen years ago. That’s why we are especially thrilled to announce that they will continue advocating for our vital services by raising £1million over the next three years. Their fundraising efforts will support our Hargreaves Centre in Liverpool where we deliver therapeutic services for children and families. And through supporting our Childline service, Matalan will enable us to remain by every child’s side in every community across the UK, no matter what they need, no matter when they need it.”
