The dress is definitely not black. It's navy blue. It also doesn't have a slit down the side and is a simple maxi dress, quite tight fitting. Having said that, I'm so desperate for maternity wear I decided not to return the dress I won't order it in orange though as no idea what colour or style that may come as!
