I am 5ft 3" tall and a size 18. I bought these in a size 16 because they have elasticated waist and linen fabric always seems to have a relaxed, loose fit. I have several pairs of Matalan linen trousers and find that a size 16 fits me comfortably. I like these because the legs are not too wide and fit nicely round the hips and bum. The turn up is not stitched down so I let it down and as I don't like turn ups I will wear them without it. The fabric is soft and comfortable and it washes well. I would advise washing before first wear as the colour comes out and could stain a light coloured top.

Perfect length on me at 5 foot 4. Nice cool fabric for the warmer weather. Not too slim or too baggy. Comfy on the waist. Wish they were in navy and khaki as well.
